Copalli Rum partnered with Justified Studio to evolve its brand and define what makes it rare: a premium rum distilled in the Belizean rainforest with a genuine climate-positive mission.

Standing out in a premium rum category crowded with heritage claims.
Copalli had an extraordinary story. A single estate rum, distilled in the heart of the Belizean rainforest, built around regenerative agriculture and community employment. But the existing brand struggled to express this clearly or credibly at a premium level. Sustainability risked feeling like a supporting detail rather than the reason the brand exists. The challenge was to elevate Copalli without losing its warmth, authenticity, or connection to place, and to create a brand system capable of competing on shelf, behind the bar, and on the global stage.

We anchored the rebrand around a single, unifying idea, The Spirit of the Rainforest. This became both Copalli’s positioning and its organising principle. We developed a clear strategic narrative rooted in three pillars, planet, product, and people, ensuring sustainability was not an add-on but the foundation. A new tone of voice balanced optimism, responsibility, and sensory richness, while the visual identity drew directly from Belizean flora, fauna, and texture. Every element, from the jaguar emblem to the colour palette, reinforced Copalli’s full-circle ecosystem.

The rebrand gave Copalli a distinct, ownable position in the premium spirits market. Sustainability became tangible, human, and desirable, not abstract.
