Challenge

A rich philosophy hidden behind an underexpressed brand.

Since 2017, La Sovrana has supplied London with exceptional seasonal produce, guided by generational knowledge and a commitment to quality over convenience. Yet its existing identity did not reflect this depth. It lacked warmth, clarity, and distinction, placing the business within the visual norms of a typical wholesaler. At a time of physical expansion, including a new warehouse and fleet, the brand needed to communicate its true character. The challenge was to capture its Italian roots, its care-driven process, and its difference in a way that felt both authentic and relevant.

Solution

Building an identity shaped by lived experience and place.

We built the identity from the inside out, grounding every decision in La Sovrana’s way of working. A bespoke serif wordmark, inspired by produce labels and Southern Italian typography, brings familiarity and character. A sun-washed colour palette draws from fresh produce and coastal Italy, balancing vibrancy with softness. Photography, shot on film, adds texture and honesty, becoming central to the brand’s voice. The system was designed to scale across vans, warehouse, and print, ensuring consistency while remaining flexible. Every element connects back to real materials, places, and practices.
