Challenge

Building a brand with global reach and universal hope.

The Earthshot Prize had the ambition and the platform, but needed a brand capable of holding global significance. The challenge was to balance gravity and optimism: to reflect the urgency of the environmental crisis while remaining accessible, inclusive and hopeful. The brand had to resonate across audiences as diverse as policymakers, scientists, educators, innovators and schoolchildren. It needed to inspire innovation, drive participation and spark dialogue worldwide without losing clarity or credibility.

Solution

A timeless identity rooted in optimism and possibility.

We developed a brand strategy that positioned The Earthshot Prize as a global catalyst for environmental innovation. Inspired by the natural systems that shape our world, the visual identity reflects themes of renewal and forward motion. Typography, colour and motion were designed to balance refinement with accessibility. The tone of voice is universal, combining clarity with warmth. Alongside the identity, we created assets for award shows, launch campaigns and educational initiatives, with a particular focus on engaging younger generations and emerging innovators to ensure the Prize looks forward as much as it looks around.
